15 May 2009 - Minister approves provision of additional nursery unit at King's Park Primary School, Lurgan

Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, has approved a Development Proposal to allow for the provision of an additional nursery unit at King’s Park Primary School, Lurgan, with effect from 1 September 2009, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Ms Ruane highlighted that the decision supports the objective of providing a year of good quality pre-school education for every child whose parents wish it. She commented: “I believe in giving our children the best possible start to their education. Quality pre-school education can help the development of children and improve their social and communication skills. Children in Lurgan will have the opportunity to benefit from the pre-school education that is their first step on the road as learners and citizens."
