The Industrial Court is a tribunal Non-Departmental Public Body supported by the Department for Employment and Learning. Its main functions concern resolving disputes about statutory trade union recognition and employee information and consultation rights.
The five year appointment will take effect from 1 October 2008 and run until 30 September 2013.
Mr O’ Loan is a solicitor. He has had many years experience as a materials manager with several private sector businesses. He also worked for Tughans Solicitors for nearly 12 years, gaining significant experience in the employment law field. Since 2006 he has worked for the Departmental Solicitors Office, again focusing largely on employment law.
Mr O’Loan is not involved in any Political Activity.
