Mrs Margaret McGinnis, of Urney Road, Stephenstown, Clady was found guilty on two charges of illegally depositing waste and fined £10,000 for each charge.
On 6 November 2007, officers from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (formerly Environment and Heritage Service) investigated a site at Urney Road owned by Mrs McGinnis where a substantial quantity of controlled wastes in the form of tar, soil, stones, wood, plastic and garden waste had been deposited.
The infill of controlled waste was approximately 1,200 tonnes and disposing of this waste legally would have cost almost £72,000.

Article 4(1)a, relating to depositing of controlled waste in or on land unless a waste management licence authorising the deposit is in force and the deposit in accordance with the licence.
Article 4(1)b, relating to keeping controlled waste in or on land unless a waste management licence authorising the deposit is in force and the deposit in accordance with the licence .
