27 November 2007 - Belfast hotel fined for illegal signs

A hotel in Belfast’s Botanic area was fined £150 and ordered to pay £86 costs at Belfast Laganside Courts today for displaying illegal signs.

The Regency Hotel (Northern Ireland) Ltd., who own The Crescent Townhouse at 13 Lower Crescent and operate from 3 Duncrue Place, Belfast, pleaded guilty to having signage that had not been given planning consent.

The Planning Service brought about the action under Article 84 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.
