19 April 2007 - Londonderry company fined for illegal signs

A Campsie car dealer has been fined over £300 for displaying illegal signs.

Mr Patrick John O'Kane (34), secretary of Pat O’Kane Cars Ltd. Clooney Road, Campsie, pleaded guilty on all counts of having unauthorised signage without the benefit of planning control at the Londonderry Magistrates court today.  

The Planning Service brought the action under Article 84 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991.

Mr O’Kane was fined £250 (£50 per sign) plus court costs totalling £86.
