08 February 2008 - Man fined £1,000 for failing to remove scrapprd cars

A man who failed to remove scrapped cars from his land was convicted at Omagh Magistrates’s Court today for offences under waste legislation.

Robert Morrow, of Bracky Road, Sixmilecross, was fined £1,000 plus £49 costs for breaches of the Waste and Contaminated Land (NI) Order.

Environment and Heritage Officers visited a site owned by Mr Morrow and observed 300 end-of-life vehicles. Mr Morrow continued to operate on the site without a licence.
