Man fined for planning offence

A Belfast man was today fined for non-compliance with an Enforcement Notice.

Mr Dominic McHugh, 47 Church Road, Belfast was fined £400 plus £86 costs at Newtownards Magistrates Court, as a result of failure to comply with a planning approval granted by the Planning Service for a rear extension to a dwelling house.

The Planning Service brought the action under Article 72 of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 (as amended).
