Dromara man fined for planning offence
Monday, 15 March 2010A Dromara man was today fined a total of £350 plus £70 fees and £18 court costs for a planning offence
Mr Peter McEvoy of Rathfriland Road, Dromara pleaded guilty at Newry Magistrates’ Court for the breach of an enforcement notice.
The enforcement notice required the removal of an unauthorised mobile home from a site north of 340 Rathfriland Road, Dromara. Mr McEvoy has since submitted an application for the retention of the temporary building for a temporary period of time.
Planning Service brought the charge under Article 67A 1(b) of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended) which states it is a failure to comply with any condition or limitation subject to which planning permission has been granted, and Article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended) which states it is an offence to not comply with an enforcement notice.
