04 May 2007 - Ballycastle man fined for caravan site

Mr John Cunning (69) Glenstaughey Road, Ballycastle, was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates' Court today for failing to comply with enforcement notices served in December 2001.

Mr Cunning had sited a caravan without planning permission at 101a Whitepark Road, Ballycastle, which is within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Planning Service brought the action under Article 72 of the Planning (NI) Order 1991 (as amended).

Mr Cunning was fined £200 and £86 court costs.
