Capital Reinforcing (Ireland) Ltd of 45 Cravenny Road, Martray, Ballygawley, Co Tyrone was fined £1,000 plus court costs of £318.60 at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 12 May 2008 for a pollution offence.
On 23 April 2007, an Environment and Heritage Service (EHS) official found oil present in the Ballygawley Water - a tributary of the Blackwater River.
A statutory sample confirmed that the Ballygawley Water was contaminated with diesel oil which was potentially harmful to fish life in the receiving waterway.
The company pleaded guilty to the making a polluting discharge to a waterway.
