18 October 2007 - Strangford Lough ferry service

Due to essential maintenance work the MV Portaferry II will be out of service for up to six weeks from Monday 22 October. During this time the smaller MV Strangford will be in service. Delays are expected at busy periods, particularly for vehicles travelling from Portaferry before 09.00 on weekdays.

Roads Service advises that early morning drivers from Portaferry should be aware of the lower capacity of the MV Strangford and to plan their journeys accordingly. Foot passengers are unlikely to be affected.

Roads Service apologises for any inconvenience caused by this essential maintenance.
