Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy today set out the facts in relation to the proposed Narrow Water Bridge near Newry.
Mr Murphy said: “I am well aware of the Dublin Government’s proposal to construct a bridge at Narrow Water which would link County Louth and County Down.
“The Department of Transport in Dublin has granted €390,000 to Louth County Council to undertake a technical study. It has already been agreed that officials from the north and south will share information from the study as well as from the Roads Service's study of the Newry Southern Relief road.”
