Resurfacing of A7 Saintfield Road, Carryduff
Thursday, 5 June 2008A £150,000 resurfacing scheme will start next week on the A7 Saintfield Road, Carryduff.
Works to strengthen the carriageway and improve the road's skidding resistance will begin on Saturday 14 June 2008
The work will take place over a 300metre stretch of the Saintfield Road, either side of Comber Road and Church Road junction, and the work is scheduled over two consecutive weekends.
During the work, for safety reasons, the approach roads to this junction will require to be closed and alternative route signing will be in place to assist the travelling public. The main diversion routes will be via Ballygowan or The Temple.
On the first weekend, all the approach roads to the junction will be closed from 6am on Saturday, 14 June until 7pm on Sunday, 15 June 2008.
On the second weekend, the Saintfield Road approaches to the junction will be closed from 9am on Saturday, 21 June until 7pm on Sunday, 22 June 2008. The Church Road and Comber Road approaches will be closed from 6am on the Saturday until 7pm on the Sunday.
