Community exhibition for dualling of A8 Belfast to Larne
Monday, 19 May 2008Roads Service is investigating the dualling of the A8 between the B95 Coleman’s Corner Junction, Newtownabbey, and the B100 Ballyrickard Road Junction in Larne.
The A8 is a strategically important road within the north and is part of the Eastern Seaboard Key Transport Corridor and the Euroroute network.
A number of studies were undertaken between 1999 and 2000 which resulted in a series of improvements to the A8. The Investment Delivery Plan for Roads has now identified a scheme to complete the dualling of the A8.

- Tuesday 20 May 2008 (2pm - 9pm)
- Wednesday 21 May 2008 (2pm – 9pm)
Mr Jim Beattie, Divisional Roads Manager for Roads Service, Northern Division, said: “Roads Service has organised these Community Information Days to give the local community, elected representatives, key stakeholders and other interested parties the opportunity to meet the Roads Service team and their consultants at ths early stage of the scheme development when there are opportunities for people to influence the decision making process.”
