Clifton Street on slip closure

Friday, 29 May 2009

There will be a weekend road closure of Clifton Street on slip to the Westlink in Belfast this weekend.

Clifton Street on slip onto Westlink and lane one of the M2-bound carriageway of Westlink, between the Clifton Street on slip and York Street junction, will temporarily close from 7am on Saturday 30 May until 9pm on Sunday 31 May. The closure is to allow ground investigation work to take place on Westlink for a new tragic sign gantry. During the closure traffic using Westlink will still be able to turn left onto York Street.

A signed diversion route will be in operation when Clifton Street on slip is closed, involving Clifton Street, Carrick Hill, Frederick Street and York Street.

Drivers using Clifton Street on slip and Westlink should expect delays and should allow extra time for their journeys.

Notes to Editors:
