16 October 2007 - M1 closure this weekend

Part of the M1 will be closed this weekend for repair work to the safety barrier and carriageway and environmental maintenance.

The motorway going westbound from Junction 13 (Loughgall) to Junction 15 (Stangmore) will close from 8:00am on Saturday 20 October 2007 until 5:00pm on Sunday 21 October 2007. East bound traffic (Dungannon – Belfast) will be unaffected by the closure.

The usual diversion route for this closure uses Tamnamore Road but because of recently imposed restrictions at Verner’s Inn River Bridge this road is not now suitable for use as a motorway diversion.

Dungannon bound traffic will be diverted via B131 Blackisland Road, B28 Summerisland road, A29 Dungannon Road, Moy Junction 15 (Stragmore).

At Moy, Coalisland bound traffic will be diverted right via B106 Trewmount Road to Junction 14 (Tamnamore).

This diversion could add up to 20 minutes to jouney time. Roads Service apologise for any inconvenience to drivers.
