Strabane man convicted of benefit fraud
Friday, 3 September 2010A man was convicted at Strabane Magistrates’ court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
The Strabane man (56) claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £8,343 while failing to declare capital. He was fined £250, to be repaid within 16 weeks.
He will also have to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
