05 June 2009 - Larne man convicted of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Larne Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

Robert McNeill (47) of Fairway, Larne claimed Income Support totalling £2,933 while failing to declare he had capital. He was given a £500 fine and ordered to pay £52 court costs.

This brings to 195 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
