A woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Geraldine McManus (60) of Lisnablagh Road, Coleraine claimed Income Support totalling £4,548 while failing to declare she was employed. She was given a £150 fine.
Ms McManus is also required by the Social Security Agency to repay the money she wrongfully obtained.
This brings to 194 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
