05 September 2008 - Coleraine woman fined for benefit fraud

A Coleraine woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates' Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

Phyllis McGraw (37) of Westbourne Crescent, Coleraine claimed Income Support totalling £2424.34 while working full time between November 2003 and July 2005.

She was fined £200 and costs of £58. Miss McGraw has 6 months to repy the money to the Social Security Agency.

This brings to 310 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
