Strabane Man Convicted of Benefit Fraud

A man was convicted at Strabane Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

The  Strabane man was sentenced to three years imprisonment suspended for two years for failure to declare capital while claiming Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £4,367.

He is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
