Dungannon man jailed for benefit fraud

A man was jailed at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

A Dungannon  man (60), claimed Income Support totalling £11,658 while failing to declare capital and also that his partner was working. He was given a six week prison sentence and ordered to pay court costs of £28.

He is also required to repay outstanding money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
