08 September 2008 - Craigavon woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

Deborah McNally (22) of Enniskeen, Craigavon was fined £125 and ordered to pay court costs of £19 for duplicate encashment of Job Seekers Allowance and grants totalling £686.

Miss McNally is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

This brings to 312 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
