A woman was convicted at Belfast Crown Court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Jacqueline Maxwell (42) of Lakeglen Park, Belfast claimed Income Support totalling £51,037 while failing to declare she was living with a partner. She was given 150 hours community service.
Miss Maxwell is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 380 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
