Dromara man convicted of benefit fraud
Thursday, 10 December 2009A man was convicted at Banbridge Magistrates’ court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
He claimed Income Support totalling £3,447 while failing to declare capital. He was given a two year conditional discharge.
He has since repaid the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 426 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
