A woman was convicted at Newry Magistrates’ Court today for claiming Carers' Allowance while she was working full-time.
Yvonne Adams (53) of Primrose Hill, Dromore claimed Carers' Allowance totalling £7981.90 while failing to declare she was working full time from December 2002 to June 2006. She was given a three month custodial sentence.
This brings to 329 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
