Strabane man convicted of Benefit Fraud
Monday, 15 February 2010A man was convicted at Strabane Magistrates Court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
He failed to declare employment while claiming Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £386. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay court costs of £31.
He is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 66 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
