Joseph Nabie (47) of Kelvin Parade, Belfast was given 75 hours community service and ordered to pay £172 court costs for non disclosure of capital while claiming Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £5,121.
Thomas Stevenson (51) of Ardenwood, Belfast was given a 80 hours community service and ordered to pay £46 court costs for failure to declare employment while claiming Income Support, Housing Benefit and Incapacity Benefit totalling £7,104.
Brenda Norwood (29) of Isoline Street, Belfast was given a £200 fine and ordered to pay £102 court costs for failure to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £3,993.
Donna McClean (47) of Malfin Court, Belfast was given a £200 fine and ordered to pay £31 court costs for working under her daughter’s name and using her personal details while claiming Income Support totalling £7,326.
Brian McBurnie (58) of Grove Street East, Belfast was given a £250 fine and ordered to pay £126 court costs for failure to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £1,754.
Isobel Copeland (59) of Ladybrook Drive, Belfast was given 75 hours community service and ordered to pay £34 court costs for failure to declare capital while claiming Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £14,229.
Kelly Bradford (25) of Enfield Parade, Belfast was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £84 court costs for duplicate encashment of Jobseekers Allowance totalling £89. A compensation order was granted for £89.
All are also required to repay the money they wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 218 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
