Newtownabbey woman convicted of benefit fraud
Friday, 27 August 2010A Newtownabbey woman was convicted at Belfast Crown Court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
The woman (33) was given 18 months probation 22 for failure to declare her partner’s employment while claiming Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £26,503.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
