14 August 2007 - Moy woman convicted of benefit fraud

A Moy woman who claimed benefits without declaring that she was living with a partner was convicted at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Tracy McCall (35), of The Hollows, Moy, had fraudulently claimed £2,711 in Income Support and Housing Benefit. She was given a conditional discharge for two years and ordered to pay £70 costs.

She is also required by the Social Security Agency to repay the money that she wrongfully obtained. This is the 225th successful prosecution for benefit fraud so far this year.
