Larne man convicted of benefit fraud
Friday, 7 August 2009A man was convicted at Larne Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
The Larne man claimed Jobseekers Allowance totalling £8,594 while failing to declare he had capital. He was fined £800, given two months imprisonment suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £16 court costs.
This brings to 264 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
