Enniskillen man convicted of benefit fraud
Tuesday, 11 August 2009A man was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates' Court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
The man was given three months imprisonment suspended for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £28 for failure to declare a change of circumstances while claiming Job Seekers Allowance totalling £2,281.
He is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 269 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
