Speaking at the event, the minister said: “This is an important scheme that will quickly provide 33 much needed family homes for Newry. BIH and O’Hagan Properties deserve our congratulations on recognising the site’s potential.
“I have set challenging targets for social housing new build over the coming years and to achieve these will require commitment, imagination and innovation.
“This development is an example of real and effective partnership between a housing association and the private sector and it is exactly what we need to tackle the housing crisis in Northern Ireland.”
