Man convicted of benefit fraud at Dungannon Court

A man was convicted at Dungannon Crown Court yesterday for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.

The Castlederg man failed to declare work while claiming Severe Disablement Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £23,625. He was given 12 months imprisonment suspended for two years.

He is also required to repay outstanding money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
