Ritchie sets out commitment to Ilex and future of Derry

Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie has responded to comments made by the North West Public Sector Review Group.

"While the group has not provided me with a final copy of its report, which relates to the period under direct rule, I will study it closely once I receive it. I want to make it clear that I am committed to Ilex in its role as the urban regeneration company for Derry. Indeed, I hope to visit Derry later this month to meet with the MP, the Mayor and other political representatives along with my North West Development Office. During that visit I hope to meet as well with representatives of Ilex and to see at first hand how their ambitious plans are being taken forward. I look forward to working with Ilex to progress the continued development of the City."
