12 May 2008 - Kesh man convicted of benefit fraud

A man was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefit he was not entitled to.

Paul Culbertson (42), of Drumwhinney Road, Rosscolban, Kesh, claimed Jobseeker’s Allowance totaling £1,390 while failing to declare he was in receipt of an occupational pension. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay court costs of £37.

He will also have to repay the money he wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

This brings to 148 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
