14 November 2007 - Limavady woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Limavady Magistrates’ Court today of claiming money she was not entitled to.

Margaret Dunn (52), of Mount Eden, claimed Housing Benefit totalling £2,148 while failing to declare she had capital. She was given a conditional discharge for twelve months and ordered to pay £64 court costs.

She has repaid the overpayment amount in full.

This brings to 359 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
