A man was convicted at Limavady Magistrates’ Court today for working while in receipt of benefit.
Seamus Mullan (39) of Rushie Park, Limavady, was given a conditional discharge for claiming Income Support to the value of £1,902 while working. He will also have to repay the money he wrongfully received to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 291 the number of convictions secured so far this year by the Social Security Agency in its campaign against benefit fraud.
