09 October 2007 - Belfast woman convicted of benefit fraud

A woman has been convicted at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

Sarah Mullholland (38), of Ballymurphy Drive, was fined £150 and ordered to pay court costs for duplicate encashment of Income Support totalling £470.

She is also required by the Social Security Agency to repay the money that she wrongfully obtained. This brings the total number of successful prosecutions this year to 304.
