A woman was convicted of benefit fraud at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Bernadette Donnelly (58), of Sullenboy Park, was given a two month prison sentence suspended for two years and fined £160 for claiming Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £18,556 while failing to declare she had capital.
She was ordered to repay the money she has wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency. This brings the total number of successful prosecutions this year to 303.
