Martha McDermott (25), of Railway Crescent, Newtownbulter, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £3,651 while failing to declare she was living with her partner. She was given a three month prison sentence suspended for two years. She was also fined £250 on one charge and was given a conditional discharge on four other charges.
Deirdre McGuinness (46), of Magheralough Road, Trillick, did not declare she had capital while in receipt of Income Support and Housing Benefit amounting to £12,714. She was given a six month prison sentence suspended for three years and fined £500.
Vincent Rodgers (30), of Yoan Road, Enniskillen was given a six month prison sentence suspended for three years and fined £200 for duplicate encashment of Income Support.
All three are required by the Social Security Agency to repay the money that they wrongfully obtained. This brings the total number of successful prosecutions this year to 302.
