A man was convicted of benefit fraud at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today.
Paul Lestrange (47), of Rosgoill Park, had claimed Job Seekers Allowance totalling £2,910 while working. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay court costs. He will also have to repay the money he received to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 309 the number of convictions secured so far this year by the Social Security Agency in its campaign against benefit fraud.
