A woman was convicted at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefit she was not entitled to.
Sharon Robinson (33), of Dunoon Park, Dundonald, claimed Housing Benefit totalling £14,425 whilst working full time.
She was given 100 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs. She will also have to repay the money she wrongfully received to the Social Security Agency.
This brings the total number of successful prosecutions this year to 328.
