29 October 2007 - Tandragee woman convicted of £24,681 benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday 26 October for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.

Lynn Dennison (47), of Wayside, Tandragee, claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £24,681 while failing to declare she had capital.

She was given a twelve month conditional discharge. She will also have to repay the money she wrongfully received to the Social Security Agency.

This brings the total number of successful prosecutions this year to 329.
