Dunmurry woman convicted of benefit fraud at Lisburn court
Friday, 23 October 2009A woman was convicted at Lisburn Magistrates' Court yesterday for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
The woman failed to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £2,287. She was given a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £28 court costs.
She is also required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 359 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
