10 September 2007 - Enniskillen woman convicted of £10,000 benefit fraud

A woman was convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court today for working while claiming benefits.

Nicola Cunningham (25), of Hillview Park, Enniskillen, had claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £10,030 while working. She was given a six month prison sentence suspended for two years and fined £240.00.

Ms Cunningham will also have to repay the money she received to the Social Security Agency.

This brings to 261 the number of convictions secured so far this year by the Social Security Agency in its campaign against benefit fraud.
