Man convicted of benefit fraud at Limavady Court
Wednesday, 30 September 2009A man was convicted at Limavady Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits he was not entitled to.
The man was given a one month sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £73 court costs for undeclared capital while claiming Income Support and Jobseekers Allowance totalling £11,353.
He is required to repay the money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
This brings to 328 the total number of successful prosecutions this year.
