Junior Minister Ian Paisley Jnr has visited a key social and economic regeneration project in Washington DC.
The project which includes the construction of a new $630million sports stadium is the key element in the regeneration of a deprived area.
The development, which will become the home of the Washington Nationals baseball team includes not only a wide range of entertainment facilities but also considerable commercial, residential and business opportunities.
Speaking at the site Ian Paisley Jnr said: "This development is a shining example of how an area can be regenerated both socially and economically. The stadium alone has provided the DC area with 1,000 much needed jobs."
"It is clear that this site will also become not only a thriving economic platform for small and minority business but a social centre for the local community."
