CARDI has been established to encourage collaboration among age researchers and to disseminate research information relevant to an ageing population.
Speaking at Farmleigh House Jeffrey Donaldson said: “We welcome the invitation to meet with CARDI again to hear first hand of the important work it is involved in.
“The Office of the First Minister and deputy First Minister is also playing a vital role in progressing the sector with its work in establishing a Commissioner for Older People.”
Gerry Kelly said: “As Ministers with special responsibility for older peoples’ issues, we would like to assure the sector that we are committed in driving forward initiatives which will improve the quality of life and public services for our older people.
“CARDI is to be congratulated for its contribution to the sector and we look forward to meeting with its representatives again in the future.”
