Junior Minister Ian Paisley Jnr has extended his thoughts to the 14 year old girl who was raped in the Lanyon area of Belfast at the weekend.
“This is a shocking and violent attack on a child and my thoughts are with her and her family at this deeply distressing time.
“Sickening attacks such as this have no place in our society. I would urge anyone with information about the attack to go to the police,” the Minister said.
Mr Paisley Jnr has joint responsibility for children and young people with Gerry Kelly.
